Medan overview
One of Indonesia’s largest cities, Medan is a thriving hub for food, drink, and unique museums. Tjong A Fie’s Mansion, for example, is a small but fascinating museum exhibition housed within a historic Chinese style mansion. This mansion will enable you to step back a century into the past. Visit the Marian Shrine of Annai Velangkanni in the city centre to see one of the true architectural gems of Medan. Getting around Medan
There is a good bus network in the city, and plenty of taxis around too. A more traditional way to travel is by Becak, or rickshaw-style bike.
