Quetta overview
With over 32, 000 acres of gorgeous scenery, much of it mountainous, Hazarganji Chiltan National Park is a must-see place to visit when you travel to Quetta. If you like, you can even stay overnight in the park, so that you can make the most of the opportunities it offers for walking, hiking, and nature watching. The waterfall known as Pir Ghaib is another place of great natural beauty, and a lovely picnic site. If museums are your thing, then be sure to pay a visit to the Archaeology Museum in the city centre, where you will find plenty of fascinating exhibits to occupy your attention.
Getting around Quetta
Many of the roads in the city, especially the major highways connecting Quetta to other cities, are metalled to make them easier to drive on. There is a good network of buses within the city, and buses and coaches are a popular way of getting from Quetta to other cities further afield, as well. There is a railway station in the city that is one of the highest (in terms of height above sea level) in the whole country: you can use the rail services to explore further if you wish.
